Joaquin2 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 A new variation of the Ibanez Tube Screamer overdrive pedal is being announced officially later this month at the Winter NAMM Show, called the Nu Tube Screamer it features a Korg Nu Tube for a more enhanced tube-like drive tone.Nu TubeAs yet the Ibanez Nu Tube Screamer has not been officially announced by the Japanese guitar company, yet I have spotted it listed on the Effects Database website and also links to an unofficial YouTube demo of the new pedal as well by Remy Hansen. There is as yet no official specification on the new Ibanez pedal, but we do know it incorporates a Korg NuTube, which essentially emulates a valve-like experience and hopefully sounds more amp-like as well, and that it can be driven either by a single 9V battery or an external DC 9-18 volt AC adapter.NuTube TechnologyI have also read the Korg NuTube technology has a fairly long lifespan and so you should get around 30,000 playing hours use out of one Nutube before it needs to be changed out.Controls consist of Drive, Tone, Level and Mix controls and the Nu Tube Screamer pedal is also relay True Bypass. There are a few UK dealers showing them online as well and the official RRP is listed below but as yet nothing official from Ibanez themselves. This looks like a pretty expensive drive pedal, fro a mass-produced affair and so you really should go check one out before you buy, as it isn’t cheap.Should be a good year for Ibanez though as the recently teased AZ Series looks pretty damn fine and their 2018 Catalogue is packed with new models, all getting officially released during the Winter NAMM Show later this month. It will be interesting to hear what players think of this new TubeScreamer pedal once they actually get their hands on it. Will this pedal get you closer to Stevie Ray Vaughan style overdrive tones? Well, I doubt it, but it could get well you some cool new tones for your rig. Quote
Quote
Perro Negro Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Interesante!

No me molestaría probarlo. Quote
